These terms apply when you use our website, join the waitlist or buy from us once checkout is available.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our store policies apply to change-of-mind purchases and other matters where we are allowed to set our own terms. If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law.

About Very Personal Research

Very Personal Research is an Australian silk sleepwear brand.

Our products may be released in limited quantities. We may not always be able to offer replacements, exchanges or restocks in every size or colour.

Website use

You agree not to misuse this website. This includes attempting to interfere with the website, introduce harmful code, scrape or copy content for commercial use, make fraudulent enquiries or purchases, or use the website in a way that breaches any applicable law.

We may restrict access to the website if we reasonably believe it is being misused.

Product information

We try to keep product descriptions, images, prices, colours, sizing and availability accurate.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting and device settings.

Measurements are approximate and may vary slightly between garments.

Silk is a delicate natural fibre and may have natural variations in texture, sheen, colour, finish or drape. These natural variations are not considered faults unless required by law.

Product use and care

Very Personal Research products are clothing and lifestyle products. They are not medical products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any health condition.

Any references to fabric, comfort, feel, breathability, skin feel or personal preference are general product descriptions only.

You must follow the care instructions provided with your garment and on our Silk Care Guide.

Damage caused by incorrect washing, drying, ironing, steaming, stain treatment, storage, wear, misuse or general wear and tear is not considered a fault unless required by law.

Orders

When checkout is enabled and you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the selected item or items at the price shown at checkout.

Your order is accepted when we send an order confirmation email.

We may cancel or refuse an order before dispatch if:

• the item is unavailable;
• there is an error in the product description, price, promotion or availability;
• payment cannot be processed;
• the order appears fraudulent, suspicious, unauthorised or intended for resale;
• the delivery address is invalid or incomplete;
• we are required to do so by law.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or order.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.

Prices may change at any time. The price charged will be the price shown at checkout when your order is placed.

Payment must be made in full at checkout unless another payment option is clearly offered.

Discount codes and promotions

Discount codes and promotions are subject to the terms stated at the time they are issued.

Unless stated otherwise, discount codes:

• cannot be used with other offers;
• cannot be applied after an order has been placed;
• cannot be exchanged for cash;
• may be limited to certain products, customers, channels or time periods;
• may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

If a discount code or promotion is used incorrectly, fraudulently or in a way we consider unintended, we may cancel the order or remove the discount.

Availability

Adding an item to cart does not reserve it. An item is only secured once checkout is completed and your order is confirmed.

If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you using the email address provided at checkout.

Waitlists

Joining a waitlist is free and does not reserve stock, create a purchase contract or guarantee availability. Size and colour preferences help us understand customer interest.

By joining a waitlist, you agree that we may contact you about Very Personal Research launches, restocks and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Shipping

When orders are enabled, shipping options, prices and estimated delivery timeframes will be shown at checkout where applicable.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Delays may occur due to carrier delays, public holidays, weather events, high-volume periods, incorrect addresses or other events outside our reasonable control.

Returns and exchanges

Change-of-mind returns are only accepted in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy.

For eligible change-of-mind returns, Very Personal Research offers store credit or size exchange only. Refunds are only provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, branding, logos, product names, photography, graphics, designs and layout, belongs to Very Personal Research or is used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Third-party services

Our website may use third-party services, including ecommerce platforms, payment providers, email platforms, analytics tools, advertising platforms and shipping providers.
